Mr. Dean has over 15 years of experience as a geologist, and specializes in geohydrology and subsurface exploration.  He has worked with Daub & Associates, Inc. for over 11 years with attention to detail.  As a senior geologist, Mr. Dean has extensive experience in subsurface exploration for oil, natural gas, oil shale, coal, and saline minerals; planning and conducting field work, preparing studies, and submitting technical reports to various clients and state/federal regulatory agencies.  His field expertise includes geotechnical and geologic hazards investigations, environmental investigations, rotary drill cuttings analysis, directional drilling coordination, core drilling, handling, description and photography; geophysical log analysis, mud log generation; and geologic mapping and structural interpretation.  

Mr. Dean has a widespread working knowledge of Federal, State, and County permitting requirements; reporting standards for mining operations, RD&D ventures, and solution mining; the development of mine plans, sampling and analysis plans, and underground injection control permits.  In addition, he is proficient in the planning, drilling and constructing directionally drilled and interconnected wells for solution mining of saline mineral deposits.  He is highly skilled in the design, implementation and supervision of data acquisition, production modeling, QA/QC and data management activities.  He has a broad understanding of Health and Safety Standards and regulatory compliance.  He enjoys a good reputation for formulating and maintaining relationships between clients, contractors, administrative personnel, colleagues and state/federal agency regulators.
