James Long

B.S. in Geology, Colorado Mesa University, 2001

Mr. Long has been a geologist and drilling superintendent with Daub & Associates, Inc. for over 12 years.  He has experience in subsurface exploration and development for oil shale, natural gas, and saline minerals.  During that time, he has worked extensively with major oil and mining companies on a variety of exploration and RD&D projects predominantly in the Piceance, Greater Green River, and Uinta Basins.  

Mr. Long has extensive experience supervising subsurface and well site drilling, Plug and Abandonment and reclamation projects including: use of Coil Tubing, large diameter wash-over tools, fishing and pipe recovery, well cementing, surface reclamation, and seeding.  He enjoys a good reputation for excellent leadership, planning analytical and problem-solving skills.  In addition, he has a strong ability to provide basic technical knowledge to ongoing geoscience-related projects.  Mr. Long has a profound knowledge of Health and Safety Standards as is applies to drilling and field geology projects.  He has an uncommon ability to establish and nurture effective working relationships and partnerships with agency personnel, clients and colleagues.
