Gerald J. Daub is the president of Daub & Associates, Inc., and
is responsible for the direct supervision of his company's employees,
contractors, and subcontractors. He has worked in both the private and
government sectors. His work experience is extensive, and includes:
- Geological, geohydrologic, permitting, geotechnical,
environmental, hydrologic, site characterization and economic
evaluation of numerous properties and sites throughout the world
- Exploration, evaluation, development, and production (both
conventional underground and solution mining) of sodium minerals
worldwide
- Completion of numerous geologic hazards and mineral resource reports
- Management of core and rotary drilling operations throughout the western United States
- Experience in business development, marketing capabilities, communication skills and strategic planning.
- Coordination of the Groundwater Protection Management Program at
four Department Of Energy (DOE) facilities, provided technical support
for the DOE environmental restoration, waste management, technology
development and environmental monitoring and surveillance programs.
- Management of the environmental, geologic, hydrologic, permitting
and drilling aspects of the exploration, development and solution
mining production of sodium mineral leases in the oil-shale-rich
Piceance Creek Basin, Colorado
- Comprehensive knowledge of complex aquifer systems in the
Piceance Creek Basin, as well as the ability to analyze abundant
geologic, geohydrologic, permitting, environmental, drilling,
geophysical, monitoring, hydrologic, geotechnical and rock quality data
- The completion of geohydrologic and geotechnical research studies from a practical as well as theoretical approach
- Economic evaluations and appraisals of various mineral and
petroleum properties in Australia, Mexico, Africa, Colorado, Texas,
Kansas, California, Oklahoma, Nevada, Idaho, Ohio, Wyoming, and Utah
- Site characterizations, including soil, and geotechnical evaluation of numerous properties for building sites
In the past, Mr. Daub has worked for Multi Mineral Corporation,
American Mineral Exploration and Development Company, Plateau Resources
Limited, RUST Company, Sun Oil Company, and Atlantic Richfield Co. He
has authored or co-authored fifteen professional publications.
Mr. Daub is a certified petroleum geologist (AAPG-DPA #3997), and a licensed
certified professional geologist in the states of Wyoming (#143) and Utah (#5336129-3350). He
is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, the Rocky Mountain
Association of Geologists, and the Grand Junction Geological Society. Mr. Daub
is a qualified geologic, geohydrologic, and hydrologic expert witness for Mesa
County courts. He is well respected within his community, and has served on
the board of directors for several local organizations, including the Grand
Junction Petroleum and Mining Club and the Museum of Western Colorado. Mr. Daub
is also an Eagle Scout.
He received his bachelor's degree in geology from Colorado State
University in 1975 and his master's degree in geology from the
University of Rhode Island in 1979.
